Repression in Berlin: Eine Woche nach der 1. Mai-Demo werden noch Antworten gesucht

  

Am vergangenen Samstag demonstrierten allein in Berlin 8.000 bis 10.000 Menschen gegen Rassismus und Nazis in Sicherheitsbehörden; nur eine Demo von vielen bundesweit. Der große Andrang in der Hauptstadt lag liegt nicht zuletzt an der Erfahrung der revolutionären 1. Mai-Demo, die eine Woche zuvor in Berlin gewaltsam aufgelöst worden war. Die Organisator:innen machen die Polizei für die Eskalation, die zu Gewalt auf beiden Seiten führte, verantwortlich.

International Womxn’s Day 2021 (Berlin)

    

On March 8, 2021, thousands of women* and allies took Berlin’s streets to protest against patriarchy, capitalism, and racism. In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, a strong focus was given to the recognition of care-work. At 11:00, a rally was organized by feminists and care workers to highlight their common struggle.
